GOV. DAUDA LAWAL MOURNS EMIR OF GUSAU

Governor Dauda Lawal has commiserated with the people of Zamfara state over the death of the Emir of Gusau, Dr. Ibrahim Bello.

The Emir passed away at the age of 71 on Friday morning in Abuja after a protracted illness.

Governor Lawal described the Emir’s death as a personal loss, noting that he was a supportive royal father and a capable leader who dedicated himself to making Zamfara State better.

“I received with deep sadness the news of the passing of our father, His Royal Highness, Dr. Ibrahim Bello, the Emir of Gusau.

“I expressed my heartfelt condolences to the Zamfara State Council of Chiefs, immediate and extended families of the late Emir, Gusau emirate, as well as the entire people of Zamfara State.

“His Highness’s passing is a huge loss for the people of Zamfara State, as well as for the North and Nigeria as a whole.

“The late royal father dedicated 10 years of serving the people after becoming the 15th Emir of Gusau on 16 March 2015. He led with commitment, dedication, and a strong sense of faith.

“The late Emir was an accomplished civil servant who rose to the highest position of Permanent Secretary during his service in old Sokoto and Zamfara states.

“I have lost a confidant and a father whose wisdom guides me and other state leaders. May the Almighty Allah (T) forgive his shortcomings and grant him Aljannah.”

Former President Muhammadu Buhari died today in London after a prolonged illness.

According to the governor’s spokesperson, Sulaiman Bala Idris, the former president’s death marks a deeply sorrowful moment for the nation.

“The loss of former President Muhammadu Buhari is a touching moment for all Nigerians.

“On behalf of the Government and people of Zamfara State, we offer our sincere condolences to the family of the late former President.”

“May Allah forgive his shortcomings and grant him a befitting place in Aljannah Firdaus”.

Governor Dauda Lawal has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of Hon. Aminu Ibrahim Kasuwar Daji, a member representing Kauran Namoda South in the Zamfara State House of Assembly.

Family sources revealed that Hon. Aminu Kasuwar Daji passed away in his sleep early Wednesday morning in Kauran Namoda Local Government Area.

A statement issued by the spokesperson of the Zamfara Governor, Sulaiman Bala Idris, extended condolences to the leadership of the Zamfara State House of Assembly and the family of the deceased.

The statement added that a delegation of the state government, led by the Deputy Governor, Mallam Mani Mummuni, attended the burial of the late Aminu K/Daji in Kauran Namoda.

“On behalf of the state government, we wish to convey our heartfelt condolences to the Speaker, Principal Officers of the Zamfara State House of Assembly, family, and the people of Kauran Namoda South.

“In this moment of sorrow, we extend our prayers that Allah provides the bereaved family with the strength needed during this grieving period.

“We also pray for Allah to forgive any shortcomings of the deceased and grant him eternal peace.”

Governor Dauda Lawal expressed his condolences to the families of the 17 students who lost their lives in the fire tragedy at the Almajiri School in Zamfara.

At least 17 students have tragically lost their lives due to a fire at an Almajiri school in Kaura-Namoda LGA of the state.

In a statement issued in Gusau on Wednesday, the governor’s spokesperson, Sulaiman Bala Idris, described the fire incident as highly unfortunate.

“I’m heartbroken by the tragic fire on Tuesday at Makarantar Mallam Ghali, an Almajiri School located in the Kauran Namoda local government area.

“On behalf of the Zamfara State Government, we extend our condolences to the families, the school, and the entire nation as we mourn the loss of these young souls.

“During this time of sorrow, may Almighty Allah provide strength and comfort to the grieving families as they navigate this difficult period. I extend my wishes for a speedy recovery for the injured.

“As a responsible government, we would examine the underlying causes of this fire and seek methods to prevent its recurrence in the future.

“We will provide all necessary support and assistance to the victims’ families.”

GOV. DAUDA LAWAL VISITS GUSAU MARKET DESTROYED BY FIRE, PLEDGES SUPPORT FOR VICTIMS

Governor Dauda Lawal has pledged a heartfelt commitment to extend all possible support and assistance to the victims of the Gusau Central Market fire incident.

A fire broke out at Gusau Central Market on Tuesday night, resulting in the death of one person and over 50 shops being burnt down.

A statement issued by the spokesperson of the Zamfara State Governor, Sulaiman Bala Idris, said while assessing the damages caused by the fire, Governor Lawal vowed to help those affected by the tragic event.

He added that Governor Lawal has assured the affected individuals and their families that the government will do everything possible to alleviate their suffering and help them recover.

While addressing the victims of the fire incident at the Gusau Central Market, Zamfara State Governor condoled the leadership of the market over the death of one person during the incident.

“I would like to express my condolences to the market leadership and the family of the victim who passed away due to the recent fire incident.

“Even before the unfortunate fire incident, I constituted a committee to conduct a thorough investigation on how the government could intervene to enhance and develop the markets across the state.

“My government is committed to supporting the victims of the fire incident and will explore various ways to mitigate their loss.”

The Zamfara State Commissioner for Commerce and Industry, Abdulrahman Tumbido, disclosed that the government provided an emergency response to control and extinguish the fire.

Responding on behalf of the victims, the Chairman of the Gusau Central Market commended the Zamfara State Government for its prompt response following the unfortunate incident.

Governor Dauda Lawal has expressed his condolences on the passing of Elder Statesman M.Z Anka, stating that Zamfara has lost an experienced leader.

Ambassador Anka a prominent figure passed away in the early hours today.

In a statement issued by his spokesperson, Sulaiman Bala Idris, Governor Lawal said the death of Ambassador Anka has created a significant void due to his vast experience.

According to the governor, “The loss of Ambassador M.Z Anka is not only felt by his immediate family, but by the entire people of Zamfara state.

“Late Anka lived a principled and exemplary life full of modesty, honesty, and hard work. His role in the realization and creation of Zamfara State is a testament to his commitment to his people’s progress and prosperity.

“Ambassador Anka was a great leader, a wise counsellor, and a source of pride for our state.

“On behalf of the state government, we extend our deepest condolences to the immediate family and the Anka emirate.

“May Almighty Allah forgive his shortcomings and grant him Aljannah Firdaus.”
